Musicians from all over the world are coming together on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay to learn from each other, enjoy good food and recharge their creative batteries. All instruments and skill levels are most welcome.
Registration - including workshops, lodging and food - is only $250.00.
This year we are also offering a parent-child discount.

adult and one child
between the ages of 10 and 16.
A women-only cabin is available this year with a private bath and kitchen right next to the main conference center.
We have a rough schedule for the weekend, but we are leaving workshop topics open so that everybody attending can decide what subjects are discussed. We will shape this weekend to fit your needs. Five-string banjo, guitar, tenor banjo, harmonica or even abstract topics are up for grabs.. During this weekend Dear Old Dad and I are ready, willing and able to address the topics that matter to you
One-on-one instruction is going to be handled pretty much the same way. Dear old Dad and I will be available throughout the weekend for personal instruction - and in that setting we'll cover whatever you want as well as working with you on any weak points we spot.
We are not separating the group by any skill level or instrument played.
The jam sessions throughout the weekend will not focus on any particular style or genre.
Everybody attending the event will be encouraged to share
something. After all, this weekend is about folk music. In folk music
everybody is a teacher and everybody is a student at the same time.
Be
sure to plan some free time to explore the park and the city
of Crisfield.
With two distinct areas, Janes Island State Park has a developed mainland section with cabins and camping areas, and a portion accessible only by boat. The original island inhabitants were Native Americans of the Annemessex Nation.
The park's Chesapeake Bay location provides water activity opportunities and the miles of isolated shorelines and marsh areas delight visitors who enjoy the peaceful solitude of natural areas.
Janes Island State Park is nearly surrounded by the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its inlets. It has rental cabins, camping and miles of isolated shoreline and marsh areas.
We will be staying in the Daugherty Creek Conference Center. A sixteen bed facility withtwo big fireplaces, lots of jamming space, shower facilities and all of that good stuff.
We are also setting up a women-only cabin this year with a private bath and kitchen right next to the main conference center.
